The short version
- Right now, juzee.ie sets no cookies. The only thing we store on your device is your cookie choice itself.
- We don't use analytics, advertising or social media tracking.
- If we ever add optional cookies, they stay off unless you switch them on.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work the same way. This policy covers all of them, and we call them "cookies" for short.
Under the Irish ePrivacy Regulations 2011 (S.I. 336/2011) and the GDPR, a website may only store or read information on your device with your consent, unless it's strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for.
2. What we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are needed for the site to work properly, so they don't require consent. You can still block or delete them in your browser.
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
juzee-consent | Local storage | Juzee (first party) | Remembers your cookie choice and when you made it, so we don't ask on every visit and can show we have your consent. | 12 months, then we ask again |
Analytics (optional, not in use)
We don't currently use any analytics. If we add a tool to count visits and see which pages are useful, it will only run if you switch "Analytics" on, and we will list it here first.
Marketing (optional, not in use)
We don't currently use advertising or social media pixels. If we add any, they will only run if you switch "Marketing" on, and we will list them here first.
3. Third-party content
Our typefaces are delivered by Google Fonts. When your browser loads them, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information, as with any request on the internet. Google Fonts does not set cookies. Google describes how it handles this data in its Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Links to Instagram and TikTok are plain links. Nothing from those platforms loads on our site until you click through, and once you do, their own cookie policies apply.
4. Managing your choices
- On this site: use the button, or the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, and it's as easy as giving it.
- In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data. Look under Settings → Privacy in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. If you clear site data, we will ask for your choice again on your next visit.
5. Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and the "last updated" date. If we add a new optional category, we will ask for your consent again before using it.
