1. Who we are
This website is run by Juzee Ltd, a company registered in Ireland (company number [CRO number]), with its registered office at [registered office address], Dublin, Ireland ("Juzee", "we", "us").
Juzee is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. That means we decide how and why it is used, and we are responsible for protecting it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.
Questions about privacy? Email hello@juzee.ie with "Privacy" in the subject line.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal data we collect through this website (juzee.ie) and through email conversations that start here. Paying for juice at a Juzee machine is handled by our card payment provider; we don't receive your full card details. If we launch an app or loyalty programme, it will come with its own privacy information.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
- Launch updates ("Get notified"): your email address and the location you'd like a machine in.
- Contact form and emails: your name, email address, the reason you're getting in touch, your message, and anything else you choose to tell us (for example your business or venue details).
Please don't include sensitive information (such as health details) in your messages. We don't need it.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: when you visit, our hosting provider and font provider receive your IP address, browser type and the page you requested. This is needed to deliver the website to your device, and hosting logs are kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Your cookie choice: stored on your own device so we remember it. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If we start, we will only do so with your consent and will update this policy first.
4. How and why we use it
The GDPR requires a legal basis for each use of personal data. Here is ours:
| What we do | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email you when Juzee launches in the location you picked | Email, chosen location | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. |
| Reply to your message and handle your enquiry | Name, email, reason, message | Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f)), or steps before entering a contract when you ask about hosting a machine or partnering (Art. 6(1)(b)). |
| Deliver and secure the website | Technical data | Our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)). |
| Remember your cookie choice | Consent record on your device | Legal obligation to record consent (Art. 6(1)(c)) and the strictly necessary exemption under the ePrivacy Regulations 2011. |
| Keep records, deal with disputes and meet legal duties | Correspondence | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) and legitimate interest in defending legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f)). |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights and expectations. You can object at any time (see Your rights). We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Juzee, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions:
- Website hosting: Vercel Inc., which serves this website.
- Web fonts: Google (Google Fonts), which delivers the typefaces this site uses and receives your IP address in doing so.
- Form and email services: [form/email provider, e.g. Formspree or Mailchimp], which receives and stores form submissions and sends launch emails, and [email provider, e.g. Google Workspace or Microsoft 365], which hosts our mailbox.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of others.
If Juzee is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may transfer to the new owner, who will be bound by this policy.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers are based in, or access data from, the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area, we make sure it is protected by an approved safeguard: either the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for details of the safeguards we use.
7. How long we keep it
- Launch update sign-ups: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months after you sign up if we haven't launched in your chosen location by then, whichever comes first.
- Enquiries and correspondence: up to 24 months after our last contact. If an enquiry turns into a business relationship, we keep records for as long as Irish law requires (generally 6 years for business and tax records).
- Hosting logs: for the short period set by our hosting provider, typically no more than 30 days.
- Your cookie choice: on your device until you clear it or change it, and we ask again after 12 months.
When we no longer need data, we delete it or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access: get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure: have your data deleted where there's no good reason for us to keep it.
- Restriction: ask us to pause using your data, for example while we check an issue you've raised.
- Portability: receive data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format, or have it sent to another organisation.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can always object to direct marketing, and we will stop.
- Withdraw consent: at any time, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email hello@juzee.ie. It's free. We will reply within one month, and we may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
9. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. This site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, access to submissions is limited to the people who need it, and our providers are chosen for their security standards. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
10. Children
This website is not aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
11. Cookies
We explain how we use cookies and similar technologies in our Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time:
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Juzee grows, for example when we launch new services or change providers. We will change the "last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant we will tell you by email (if we have your address) or with a notice on this site.
13. Contact and complaints
For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@juzee.ie or write to Juzee Ltd, [registered office address], Dublin, Ireland.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Irish supervisory authority:
Data Protection Commission
21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, Ireland

If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your own country.
